The Story of the Seed is a project for Mr. Bursch's Biology 1-2 classes at Willow Glen High School, where the students will be given a type of Brassica oleracea to grow and experiment on. The project will be done in different parts over the course of the year. The students will conduct their different experiments and then collect the data. All of the teams will update their blog with posts containing the new data. At the beginning of the school year students will conduct an experiment of their own creation as they germinate and ultimately put the resulting plants in the garden. Some of the project will utilize grow lights and deal with selection and transplant of healthy plants. Students will observe as the plants go through the different stages of their growth and employ the skills of forming hypothesis to collecting data.
