My name is Ryan Keeney. I have lived here, in San Jose, for my entire life. When I was younger, around kindergarten, I grew pumpkins in my backyard for about a year. I remember the pumpkins got really big, and the vines that grew from the plant sort of took over the entire yard. The vines were so invasive that they were actually kind of smothering the other plants, and so we had to get rid of them. A person who probably knows a lot about agriculture is probably my grandfather, who worked on a farm in Iowa when he was a lot younger, before he moved to California. It’s great that I get to see him very often because he lives so near to us.
